Natuurwijn.online is a Dutch blog owned by Alisa Meijs. She is a natural wine enthusiast and wants to share her experience in the world of natural wines. In her blog she interviews experts, shares go-to restaurants for sublime wines and shares her experiences while learning everything about these wines.
Alisa's journey into natural wine began at a friend's 30th birthday bash in the sun-soaked Vroesenpark in Rotterdam. The wine, though nameless in memory, left an indelible mark with its ochre-yellow hue, unfiltered essence, and distinctive flavor. The spark ignited during a summer trip to the Loire, where Alisa and her partner explored biodynamic and natural wine estates. Convinced of the need to share this passion, Alisa embarked on a domain name hunt, birthing natuurwijn.online.
My role
Stakeholders
Alisa and I work together intensively at ECHT Onderwijs and the cooperation has been incredible from the start. I did not hesitate when she asked me to build this blog for her. Especially not after our last project together.
She created a mood board with the vibe she liked: modern retro. I created some color pallets to fit the mood board and she made her decision. Together with Nico Bry, designer and illustrator, we added the logo and the website illustrations to the brand kit. After some reviews on the Figma design, I started building in Webflow. Alisa is a copywriter herself, thus she wrote all the website texts.
Googles Raleway font was used for both headings and body in different font-weights.
To give the blog a more retro look we added multiple illustrations. Below you will find the illustrations used for the different categories.
